SUNRISE TO SUNSET

Maybe this trend is just on my newsfeed, but so many of my friends have been posting sunrise and sunset photos recently. Some from incredible beach vacations. Some from the mountains of PA. Some from early morning or late evening runs. Some from the lake. One thing they have in common…they are breathtaking the colors, the glow, the formation of clouds…all of it!

God’s beauty has been overwhelmingly amazing lately.

It got me thinking…so many times we can get caught up in the “bigness” of what is happening our own life or what we are facing at the moment.

All it takes is one gander at the sky either at the break of dawn or the setting of the sun to get a small glimpse at the vastness and greatness of our God. We are but a vapor, a mist…these light and momentary struggles are nothing in the hands of a BIG and MIGHTY God who created the heavens and earth and put the stars in place.

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17-18‬ ‭NIV‬‬
